First week complete.

I played a little yesterday, but I just couldn’t get going. When I raised it was 3 bet and considering my opening range is quite high, it’s either 4 bet bluff or fold but we all know Micro players can’t fold. I was fine with it and I can’t complain really, it’s just my first non win day and overall it’s just one of those things.
I’ve also been tired more than normal and tomorrow (Saturday) it’s my usual trip up north for the weekend, that’s going to hinder my game time, but I’ll still be playing that free roll on Sunday via the M1, just don’t tell the police.....
So I’m back down to $7.32. I also did not play any cash today either, instead I opted for the 1c Rebuy in which I bought in for .25 points. I wasn’t quite sure of the prize, but it was Top 2 only that won something. It was until all the Rebuys and Add ons had been collected. 71 players entered so it was basically a crap shoot, but I played my best like I always do and yeap, I did good and won it! First MTT entered and I won x110 my Buy In.
To say it was a 1c tournament, the structure was brilliant with a ton of play despite it being 5 minute levels.
I say Won it, once it was down to two players, the game stopped, so effectively I consider it a win. The prize I realised after is a €1+10c All in Flip for a €110 seat to the Sunday Major on Microgamming. With a lot of luck, I could finish this Challenge in under 2 weeks! Now that would be a brag.

Day 12

Sigh....... Yes that says it all. Even with another couple of hours play tonight, I went to reg for the €3k Sunday Freeroll and says I’m still not played enough raked hands to qualify. I did however qualify for the €1000 tomorrow afternoon at 5pm. I’m going to have to play some more to get me into the other game and if I have the same luck like I did tonight, then I’ll be lucky if I have enough to sit back down again when it’s time to grind again next week. Today’s session was painful and these stakes are driving me insane. I started to look at some Mtt’s and I may still be tempted to play those instead. They do have tournaments for like 55c and €1 and not forgetting my ticket to. But these little staked tournaments run like a normal bigger tournaments with 10 minute blinds and a decent starting stack, so don’t be surprised if I get side tracked in the near future. Binking one of those should get me out of the 1/2c cash games which are killing me. Today was another bad day. I ran a b...

Day 11

I played for about 2 hours today and I was up then down and up again, but nothing really happened for me today. No big hands, poor player pool with limpers and calling stations, so I couldn’t bluff quite as often as I like. But I went with it and ended with a small loss overall for today. I think I might of done enough to play the €3k freeroll on Sunday, but I’m planning on playing Friday, possible two tables if it’s busy enough.

Day 7.

28th July and I’m sat in two tournaments. I have both screens up and the first to start is the €1 flip to the €110 Sunday major. By some miracle I win my first table of 9 players with JJ and then it’s down to about 23 players who’ve all won their tables. Sadly I do not make it past that round and after checking, there’s still 6 players left after the two previous rounds. I knew it was going to be extremely lucky to win a seat, but it’s worth doing in the future when I have more funds. Talking of funds, the €3k Free-Roll starts and with around 470 runners and I’ve got my obligatory 1000 chips I now try to play the very best poker I’ve ever had. Playing super tight, my aim is to make the cash. I check the payouts and chuckle when I see the top 259 players will cash, but it’s just a 11c tournament ticket....... However, I grind my chips up, admittedly with AA three times in about 15 hands but most players have the 3500 starting stacks and know I’m playing tight, so I get respect even t...
