It’s the first time this week I’ve managed to play some poker. Tiredness mainly the reason behind it. But I managed a nap this afternoon and I was ready for action. It was such an important session to the challenge after my disappointment in the cash games losing 3 buy ins when I should of been winning those buy ins. But hey it’s poker. I want the cash in the middle when I have the nuts and despite losing the 3 buys, I can not fault my play. The quicker you get over these BadBeats the better your game will become.
I mean who still goes on about getting outdrawn these days?
We move on simples. Unless your hand is 100% to win, then you’ve got to accept that when it doesn’t win it’s also ok.
So moving on today’s play. I fired up the client but by half an hour I had lost a buy in, won a double and then another double after my double. The result was I was up just short of two buys. It would of been more, but we all got to pay the rake right?
These are my notes I made straight after my winning session. Because my HUD does not work on Microgaming, I have to remember the hands and writing it down in my notes is just my way of making sure I have the correct plays and the cards are the same to.

Lost a buy in when I flopped the nut straight with the Ace of clubs on a KQ10 Clubs board. The cash went in after the flop and I was drawing v flopped flush. I missed and lost my €1 buy in.
I then doubled my next €1 buy in when I flopped a set of 3’s and the same guy flopped top pair and he played it very aggressively. This player was opening to x7 BB every time, so I had to be careful of my 3 betting and calling ranges. The reason I made this call was because there was another player in the hand Pre Flop, who folded to the flop pot sized bet by Mr I don’t know how to raise correctly.
So sat with €2.04 after the 3’s hand I was planning on leaving if and when I got it up to €2,50 but I managed a full double of my €2,04 when I had AA v the same guy yet again with KK. I turned the straight and he shoved and I was only losing to a Pocket pair of 6’s on a 2345 board rainbow turned board. The river was a nothing and I had to leave the table after the next hand before the BB hit me, which I did.
I always feel shitty about having to leave straight after winning, but those are the rules.1
Happy with the double ups and it’s now just a case of paying attention and growing that BankRoll.
